Individual sheets for players to visualize their character's information, inventory, and progress.
Dice
A set of polyhedral dice, including d6 (six-sided) and d10 (ten-sided) for making checks and determining outcomes.
Pencil and Paper
For taking notes and tracking decisions or changes during the game.
Maps
Printed maps to help players visualize the setting.
Setting Up the Game
Read Through the Rulebook
Familiarize yourself with the game's rules and mechanics. Decide if any modifications or simplifications are needed based on the age and experience of the players.
Read Through the Scenario
Prepare and familiarize yourself with the story that you are going t tell the party.
Character Selection
Each player chooses a character and puts their name on the character sheet.
Dice Introduction
Explain the purpose of each type of dice to the players. The d6 will generally be used for actions and the d10 for using special talents. Demonstrate a few example rolls to illustrate successful and failed attempts.
Game Board Setup
Lay out the maps on a flat surface where all players can see. Place tokens or miniatures at the starting point of the adventure.
